During a recent visit from my dad, we spent a glorious fall morning in downtown Omaha. The weather was beautiful and people were definitely out to enjoy it. We started out at the Old Market Farmer's Market.
Then we made our way to the Bob Kerrey pedestrian bride and walked across to Iowa.
It was cold and windy on the bridge. This is my unibomber look.
John took this next one. I was too scared to look up or down.
Back on the Nebraska side we walked to the Lewis and Clark museum, which was closed. But the grounds around the building are beautiful.
After that we drove over toward north downtown and checked out some of the cool old buildings.
We finished off our downtown tour with a cozy lunch at Wheatfields. Sometimes it's good to be a tourist in your own town!
