Wow, I knew I took a blogging break, but I didn't realize it had been over a month since my last post! The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas were a blur as I split my time between photography and some freelance graphic design work. Not to mention Christmas shopping, holiday parties, and John's school programs. It was a little touch-and-go there for a while, but we got through the craziness and then took some time to relax.
Over Christmas John and I went to Peoria to visit my family for 7 days. We got out of Omaha just in time to escape the blizzard and then enjoyed some good quality time with friends and family. I unplugged a bit and spent less time on the computer and more time visiting and playing games. We got back home on the 30th and celebrated Christmas with John's side of the family on New Year's day. We like to stretch the holidays out as long as possible! It was a much needed break. And now I am excited to get back to taking pictures and blogging MORE OFTEN!
I took very few pictures during my vacation, but I'll post the ones I did take. If you are not related to me, these may not be very interesting to you. But I decided a long time ago that this blog will reflect both my personal and business lives. The line between my business and personal life is fairly blurred and that's the way I like it. : ) What you see is what you get!
Opening presents with my mom and Joe on Christmas Eve
"Hmm, what's this?"
"Oooooooooh! It's a..."
She likes sparkly things...
A new watch from Joe (it's just like Sandra Bullock's in The Blind Side apparently).
New leather coat for Joe, from mom.
My new rooster tape dispenser from Ryan & Haley.
And after all that unwrapping we needed some dessert.
That's all for now! I have some more photos to post, but I am going to spread them out. Because of my hiatus, I have decided to post every day this week. Check back for more photos (and bonus videos) from my Christmas break!
